 Item. In nomine Domini nostri Jhesu Christi crucifixi. Amen. Anno et die predictis.1 Nos, fratres predicti, et cetera .

Quiade Bauro
de Drului de Fanoiovis
constat nobis per confessiones in iudicio factas Poncii Boterii de Bauro; W. de Graissemo vel Guimet de Drula; et Bernardi de Podio de Fanoiovis, Tholosane dyocesis;

Quod prenominatus Poncius Boterii vidit et adoravit multociens hereticos et audivit predicationem eorum, comedit cum eis et de pane benedicto ab eis multociens, duxit et associavit eos, dedit eis de suo, credidit hereticis et eorum erroribus, celavit coram nobis et aliis inquisitoribus veritatem et relapsus est in heresim abiuratam;

Item. Prenominatus etiam W. de Graisenx vidit et adoravit multociens hereticos et audivit predicationem eorum, comedit cum eis  in eadem mensa, et de pane ab eis benedicto, receptavit eos in domum suam, dedit eis de suo, et recepit ab eis munera, ivit de mandato hereticorum apud Montem Securum, credidit hereticos esse bonos homines et se posse salvari per eos, et negavit veritatem contra proprium iuramentum;

Item. Prenominatus etiam Bernardus de Podio vidit et adoravit multociens hereticos et audivit predicationem eorum, comedit cum eis et de pane ab eis benedicto multociens, duxit eos, apparelhamento eorum interfuit et pacem accepit ab eis multociens, credidit hereticis et eorum erroribus, et  relapsus est bis in heresim abiuratam;

Ipsos, nunc usos saniori consilio ad unitatem Ecclesie, prout asserunt, redire volentes, in primis omni heretica pravitate abiurata, absolvimus, secundum formam Ecclesie, a vinculo excommunicationis, quo ratione predicti criminis tenebantur astricti, si tamen ad ecclesiasticam unitatem de corde bono redierint et mandata sibi iniuncta compleverint. Et quia in Deum et Sanctam Ecclesiam predictis modis temere deliquerunt,  ipsos coram nobis comparentes, communicato multorum prelatorum et aliorum bonorum virorum consilio, ad peragendam  condignam penitentiam in perpetuum carcerem retrudi volumus et precipimus ibidem perpetuo comorari; et quod istam penitentiam compleant, iniungimus eis in virtute prestiti iuramenti. Si vero predictam penitentiam facere noluerint, ipsos excommunicationis vinculo innodamus.

Actum in dicto loco, testes: propedicti.

Item.In the name of our crucified lord Jesus Christ. Amen. Year and day as stated before. We, the aforesaid brothers, et cetera:

AsLavaur Dreuilhe Fanjeaux it has been established before us in the judicial confessions of Pons Boter of Lavaur; W. de Grassenc of Dreuihle; and Bernard de Puy of Fanjeaux, diocese of Toulouse;

That the aforenamed Pons Boter saw and adored heretics on many occasions, listened to their preaching, ate with with them and had bread blessed by them many times; lead and accompanied them, gave them of his own; believed the heretics and their errors; hid the truth before us and other inquisitors; and relapsed into the abjured heresy;

Item. As well the aforementioned W. de Grassenc saw and adored heretics on many occasions, listened to their preaching, ate with them at the same table, had bread blessed by them, received them in his home, gave them of his own, received gifts from them, went to Montségur at their request, believed heretics to be good men and that one could be saved through them, and denied the truth in contravention of his own sworn oath;

Item. As well the aforenamed Bernard de Puy saw and adored heretics on many occasions, listened to their preaching, ate with them and had bread blessed by them many times, lead them, attended their apparelhamen and accepted the peace from them many times, believed the heretics and their errors, and relapsed twice into the abjured heresy;

They now, following wiser council, wish to return to the unity of the Church as they claim, first having abjured heretical depravity; we therefore release them - following the ways of the Church - of the chains of excommunication by which they were bound due to the aforesaid crimes, so long as they have returned to ecclesiastical unity in good faith and having fulfilled the commands enjoined upon them. As they rashly transgressed God and the Holy Church in the aforementioned ways, they appears before us today as compelled, legally summoned, to receive their penance, definitively assigned, regarding the crime of heresy: we, after discussion with many prelates and the council of many other good men, we order and desire that they be put in prison indefinitely, and we enjoin on them this penance bound by their respective oaths. If, indeed, they refuse to accomplish the aforesaid penance, we again bind them by the chains of excommunication.

Enacted in the aforesaid place, witnesses: as stated before.
