Quia constat nobis per confessionem in iudicio factam Poncii Garriga de Exilio, Tholosane dyocesis, quod ipse vidit et adoravit multociens hereticos, et audivit predicationem eorum, dedit eis et  recepit ab eis munera, comedit cum eis, recepit eos in domum suam, heriticationibus interfuit, credidit  hereticis et eorum erroribus, celavit aliis inquisitoribus veritatem et relapsus est in heresim abjuratam;

Si vero predictam penitentiam  facere noluerit, ipsum excommunicationis vinculo innodamus.

Item. Year as above, 3rd Nones of November. In the name of our crucified Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. We, brothers of the Order of Preachers Bernard de Caux and Johan de Saint-Pierre, inquisitors of heretical depravity appointed by apostolic authority in the city and diocese of Toulousefrom Issel;

As it has been established before us by the judicial confessions of Pons Garrigue of Issel, in the diocese of Toulouse, that he saw and adored heretics on multiple occasions, listened to their preaching, gave them and received from them gifts, ate with them, received them in his home, attended heretications, believed the heretics and their errors, hid the truth from other inquisitors, and relapsed in the heresy abjured;

He now, following wiser council, wishes to return to the unity of the Church as he claims, first having abjured heretical depravity; we therefore release him - following the ways of the Church - of the chains of excommunication by which they were bound due to the aforesaid crimes, so long as he has returned to ecclesiastical unity in good faith and having fulfilled the commands enjoined upon him. As he rashly transgressed God and the Holy Church in the aforementioned ways, he appears before us today as compelled, legally cited, to receive his penance regarding the crime of heresy: definitively assigned, after discussion with many prelates and the council of many other good men to find an appropriate punishment, we order and desire that he be put in prison indefinitely, and we enjoin on him this penance bound by their respective oaths. If, indeed, he refuses to accomplish the aforesaid penance, we again bind him by the chains of excommunication.

Enacted at Toulouse in the cloisters of Saint-Sernin in the presence of Arnald, prior; Fortz, chaplain of Saint-Sernin; Raimund, chaplain of Sainte-Marie-la-Daurade; Amelh, chaplain of Saint-Etienne; and Peire Ariberti.
