Item. Year and day as above. The sworn witness Guilhem de Podio said that he saw at the house of Peire Bernard, notary of Laurac, two heretics whose names he did know, who hereticated Bernard Mir, knight, who was ill from something from which he died. He saw there with the aforesaid heretics Bernard de Saint-Martin, Mir de Campolongo, Bernard Mir, and Mir de Lalanda, his son, and Pons Mir, all knights, and Rovinhol, and others whom he did not recall. Everyone and the witness adored the aforesaid heretics there. This was about 12 years ago.

He believed the above-mentioned heretics to be good men, true, friends of God, to have good faith and that one could be saved by them, even though he knew that the Church persecuted them. He did not hear heretics speak of the errors. He first believed the heretics to be good 12 years ago but he did not stay in that belief except for 8 years. This was confessed to brother Ferrier at Saissac. He has not seen heretics since. He abjured heresy and swore, etc. Witnesses: as stated before. This was confessed before brother Guilhem Arnald and his companion, inquisitors, at Castelnaudary.
