If the Count of Toulouse or others of ours should have need of council regarding the Peace of Paris, with respect to one of our own, we will council them to observe it and that we observe it; and we will make all efforts so that the Count observes it; and should the Count of Toulouse [come against us], we will ally to the Church and the lord King of France against him unless within forty days after a stringent warning he heals the matter; or brings the case before the Church, where concerns the Church; or brings the case before the lord King of France, where concerns the lord King;

As well, we promise and swear that we will aid the Church against heretics, the believers and receivers of heretics, and all others who come against the existence of the Church, whether heresy or in defiance of excommunication in its lands, and we swear to the King of France that against all others we will make war, at the request of the Church and the lord King of France, until the end.
