Item. In the name of our crucified Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. Year of our Lord as above, 8th Kalends of September. We, brothers of the Order of Preachers Bernard de Caux and Johan de Saint-Pierre, inquisitors of heretical depravity appointed by apostolic authority in the city and diocese of Toulouse:

As from Fanjeaux from Mas-Saintes-Puelles from Verfeil from Toulouse it has been established before us through the judicial confessions of W. Bocada, Raimund Belicen senior, and Guilhelma, wife of Guilhem de Calvalho, of Fanjeaux; Peire de Alamans and Peire Albaric of le Mas-Saintes-Puelles; Peire Donat of Verfeil, of the diocese of Toulouse; Arnald de Planha, Raimund Peire de Planha, and Pons de Planha, brother, of Toulouse;

That the aforenamed W. Bocada saw received and adored heretics on many occasions and listened to their preaching, ate bread blessed by them, believed them to be good men, attended hereticaions, denied the truth before inquisitors, and after he abjured heresy he saw heretics and did not apprehend them or reveal them;

Item. As well the aforenamed Raimund Belicen senior saw and adored heretics on multiple occasions, received them, listened to their preaching, ate with them, accepted the peace from them, believed heretics to be good men, gave them [of his] and received from them, and after he abjured heresy saw heresitics and sent them necessities multiple times;

Item. As well the aforenamed Guilhelma, wife of Guilhem de Calvalho, saw and adored heretics many times, received them in her home, ate bread blessed by them, believed them to be good men, attended heretications, and relapsed into the heresy abjured;

Item. As well the aforenamed Peire de Alamans saw and adored heretics, belived them to be good men, and denied the truth before us in contravention of his own oath;

Item. As well the aforenamed Peire Albaric saw and adored heretics, listened to their preaching, believed them to be good men, and denied the truth before us in contravention of his own oath;

Item. As well the aforenamed Peire DOnat saw and adored heretics on many occasions, received them in his home, believed heretics and their errors, and relapsed into the heresy abjured;

Item. As well the aforenamed Arnald de Planha saw and received into his home heretics whe then stayed there; adored them on many occasiions, listened to their preaching, ate with them, had a heretic in his care, denied the truth before us and other inquisitors in contravention of his own oath, and did not come before other inquisitors during the grace period in order to make confession of heresy;

Item. As well the aforenamed Raimund Peire de Panha saw in his own home heretics who stayed there on many occasions, sleeping and eating, listened to their preaching, accompanied them, adored them many times, believed heretics and their errors, wrote [documents] for heretics for money, denied the truth before us in contravention of his own oath, and did not come before other inquisitors during the grace period in order to make confession of heresy;

Item. As well the aforenamed Pons de Planha saw heretics on many occasions, adored them, believed, ate with them, accompanied them, listened to their preaching, believed heretics and their errors, denied the truth before us in contravention of his own oath, and did not come before other inquisitors during the grace period in order to make confession of heresy;

They now, following wiser council, wish to return to the unity of the Church as they claim, first having abjured heretical depravity; we therefore release them - following the ways of the Church - of the chains of excommunication by which they were bound due to the aforesaid crimes, so long as they have returned to ecclesiastical unity in good faith and having fulfilled the commands enjoined upon them. As they rashly transgressed God and the Holy Church in the aforementioned ways, they appear before us today as compelled, legally cited, to receive their penance regarding the crime of heresy: definitively assigned, after discussion with many prelates and the council of many other good men to find an appropriate punishment, we order and desire that they be put in prison indefinitely, and we enjoin them with this penance bound by their respective oaths. If, indeed, they refuse to accomplish the aforesaid penance, we again bind them by the chains of excommunication.

Enacted at Toulouse in the cloisters of Saint-Sernin in the presence of Arnald, prior of Saint-Sernin; Fortz, chaplain of the same place; Arnald, prior of Saverdun; Raimund, chaplain of Sainte-Marie-la-Durade; Peire de Drudas, canon; Peire Aribert; and many others.
