Item. Year and day as above. The sworn witness Johan Cabargas said that he saw Bertrand Marti and his companion, heretics, in the house of Ysarn de Gibel, and he saw there with them Ysarn himself, Andrea, wife of said Ysarn, Bernard Jordan, Bernard Martin, Esteve Fendelha, and Peire Folc. The witness and everyone else listened to their preaching there and adored them, bending at the knee three times saying, "Bless us good men, pray to God for us." This was about 12 years ago.

He believed the heretics to be good men and to have good faith even though he knew that the Church persecuted them. However he did not hear them speak errors of visible things nor of the sacraments. He did not see heretics anywhere else, nor believed, nor adored, nor gave or sent them anything except as stated above. The foregoing was confessed to brother Ferrier at Limoux. Witnesses: as stated before. He denied the truth before brother Guilhem Arnald and his companion, inquisitors, at Castelnaudary.
