Item. Year and day as stated before. The sworn witness Guilhem P. Barba, son of Guilhem P. Barba, said that he saw in the house of his mother-in-law Na Riqua at Mas-Saintes-Puelles Raimund of Mas-Saintes-Puelles, son of said Riqua, and his companion, heretics, and he saw there with them Riqua herself. However the witness did not adore nor saw adoring. This was about 8 years ago.

Item. He saw at Mas-Saintes-Puelles in the house of Peire de Saint-Andrea, who is otherwise called Cap-de-Porc, Donat and Bernard Cap-de-Porc, his companion, heretics, and he saw there with them Raimund Gauta del Plan, Raimund del Pont, Pons Laurent, Guirald de Vilar, Guilhelma, wife of Arnald Godalh, Gauza Tersola, and the aforesaid Peire Cap-de-Porc and Susanna, his wife. The witness and everyone adored the heretics there. This was the same period.

Item. He saw in a place called Oliver outside the village of Mas-Saintes-Puelles Raimund of Mas-Saintes-Puelles, the witness' brother-in-law, and Bernard de Mairevilla, his companion, heretics, and he saw there with them Arnald Godalh, Peire Cap-de-Porc, Guilhem Vidal, Garnier and Arnald Garnier, his son, Pons de Alamans, W. Marre de Fonteriz, and Raimund Faure de Castilho. However he did not adore nor saw adoring, because when the witness arrived the heretics were already leaving. Of the period: as above.

He saw at Mas-Saintes-Puelles in the house of Guilhem Vidal Donat and his companion, heretics, and he saw there with them Raimund Amelh, Raimund Pinaut, Peire Cap-de-Porc, and Arnald Godalh, who had brought the witness there. However the witness did not adore nor saw adoring. Then the witness, Raimund Amelh and Raimund Pinaut accompanied the aforesaid heretics from there to the tileworks at Puybusque. But he did not adore nor saw adoring. Of the period: as above.

Item. He saw in a place called Colomier outside the village of Mas-Saintes-Puelles Raimund of Mas-Saintes-Puelles, his brother-in-law, and his companion, heretics, and he saw there with them Pons de Alamans, and Riqua, mother of the aforesaid Raimund of Mas-Saintes-Puelles, heretic. Said Riqua adored the aforesaid heretics there. After this, the witness and aforesaid Pons, at the request of said Riqua, led and accompanied the heretics to Ebrart Spring in the lands around Mas-Saintes-Puelles. Both adored the heretics there. This was the same period.

Item. He saw the above-mentioned heretics in the above-mentioned place, and he saw there with them Guilhem Ayner, B. Roger, Peire Cap-de-Porc, and Arnald Godalh, who was later a heretic and burned. But the witness did not adore the aforesaid heretics nor saw adoring. Then, the witness, Guilhem Ayner and B. Roger, at the request of the aforementioned Peire Cap-de-Porc and Arnald Godalh, led and accompanied the heretics from there to the bridge at Agassens. The witness and everyone else adored the heretics there. Then Raimund of Mas-Saintes-Puelles, heretic, promised B. Roger to harvest his grain when asked by the same B. Roger. Item. He saw in the house of Peire Cap-de-Porc Bernard Cap-de-Porc and Guilhem, his brother, heretics, and he saw there with them Bernarda Prosat. But the witness did not adore nor saw adoring. Of the period: as above.

He has not seen heretics anywhere else, except prisoners. Item. He said he believed the heretics to be good men, to have good faith, to be true and friends of God, and one could be saved by them. But he did not hear anyone speak the errors of visible things nor of the sacraments of the Church. He first believed the heretics to be good men 8 or 9 year ago, and he didn't keep this belief for more than a year. This was confessed to Brother Ferrier, at Limoux. Thereafter he did not see heretics. He abjured heresy and swore, etc. Witnesses: Arnald, prior of Saint-Sernin; Arnald, chaplain of Puylaurens; and brother Bernard, inquisitor.

He said as well that Raimunda, wife of the witness, was a heretic and it is said she was burned at Montségur.

He said as well that German, his brother-in-law, chaplain, had penance for heresy. It is said that it he is presently in the diocese of Agen with lord Sicardo Alaman.

He said that he believed Guilhem Garnier, son of Garnier, was a believer in the heretics and friendly to the aforesaid as well.

He is a suspect.Item. Peter Gauta junior of Mas-Saintes-Puelles wanted to be, or was, collector/agent at the castrum of Mas-Saintes-Puelles and at Varennes on behalf of Guilhem Anyer, who, because of some heretical women whom he received or were lodged in his house, was captured and his goods at the same time seized, collected, received by the heretics' creditors. Presumably the aforementioned Guilhem Ayner took revenge quickly on the heretics.

Item. The aforesaid Peire Gauta entered the cloisters at Mas-Saintes-Puelles at night and he wanted to kill the prior and the clerics of the place. Then he removed, or rather stole, two ponies from the priory.

Item. The aforesaid Peire Gauta had a blood-relative for a lover and had an affair with her.

Item. The aforesaid Peire Gauta stole the priest's garments from the church of Mas-Saintes-Puelles at night.
